Pageflakes in Education
November 22, 2006 by jzcolby
Will Richardson’s blog points out a great tool that can be used in the classroom — Pageflakes. Working in an elementary school, I can see so much potential. A teacher can create a page for the students to use when doing biographies, at various math levels, studying the solar system, studying the regions of the United States, and the list can go on and on. Enrichment teachers can use this and have the students collaboratively create a page for a project they are working on. I have been creating “hotlists” for the students to use that are available to them at home, such as a math hotlist, social studies hotlist, and search engine hotlist. Pageflakes is a great idea. Can’t wait to start working on one. What a great way also to introduce RSS feeds and show how they work. I just cannot keep up with all these great tools.
