Technology in the Education Arena

Have entered the world of Second Life.  This tool has so much potential for education, not only for teachers but for our students as well.  First, teachers need to explore and see all the great places Second Life has to offer.  Get comfortable with the environment.  Great opportunity for professional development.  It is overwhelming and confusing at first — walking into walls, walking along and discovering you are in the ocean, looking for a cool hairdo only to discover your avatar is bald. 

Penn State University has put together a Second Life site of resources which is very helpful — Getting Started info, educational tutorials, development tutorials and resources. 

Going to start my own list of Second Life Resources and put together some  helpful tips.
